Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks, about 1 inch thick
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup whiskey (bourbon works well)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Gather ingredients and let steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Cook steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, then let rest.
- Sauté minced garlic in the skillet for 30 seconds, then add whiskey and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard, cooking for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Slice steaks, plate them, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Letting the steaks reach room temperature helps them cook evenly.
- Adjust seasoning in the sauce to personal taste.
