Garlic Butter Lamb Chops with Herbs

Delicious lamb chops seared to perfection, bathed in garlic butter and fresh herbs.

  • Total Time: 20

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces lamb chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme (chopped)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pieces lemon (juice of half (optional))

Instructions

  • Start by bringing the lamb chops to room temperature. This usually takes about 30 minutes.
  • Season both sides of the lamb chops generously with salt and pepper.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once it’s hot, add the lamb chops. Sear for 3-4 minutes on one side until browned.
  • Flip the chops and add butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the pan. Spoon the melted butter over the chops as they cook.
  • Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare. For medium, aim for about 5-6 minutes. You want an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Remove the chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes. This helps the juices redistribute.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice before serving for a refreshing zing. Enjoy!
