- 2 pounds octopus (cleaned)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 limes Juice
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
- Skewers (soaked if wooden)
Instructions
- Start by preparing the octopus. If it’s not already cleaned, rinse it under cold water and remove any membranes or beaks.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk it all together.
- Add the octopus to the marinade, making sure it’s well-coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Once the grill is hot, remove the octopus from the marinade and thread it onto the skewers.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the octopus is charred and cooked through.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve immediately.
