Ingredients

- 1 cup of chopped pecans
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 1 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix pecans, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add melted butter to the sugar mixture and combine well.
- In another bowl, mix yellow cake mix with salt, then add water and vanilla until smooth.
- Layer the pecan mixture in the baking dish, then pour the cake batter on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until edges bubble and top is golden brown.
- Cool for 10 minutes before serving warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Best served warm for the gooey texture.
