- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh peaches, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather ingredients.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; add cold butter until crumbly.
- Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
- Mix peaches, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
- Roll dough into a 1/2 inch thick rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread peach filling on the dough, roll it up, and seal the seam.
- Slice the roll into 12 pieces, twist, and place in a greased muffin tin.
- Brush each cruffin with beaten egg for shine.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Best enjoyed warm, but can be stored for later.
- Use cold butter for flaky layers.
