Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather ingredients.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; add cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
  4. Mix peaches, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
  5. Roll dough into a 1/2 inch thick rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread peach filling on the dough, roll it up, and seal the seam.
  7. Slice the roll into 12 pieces, twist, and place in a greased muffin tin.
  8. Brush each cruffin with beaten egg for shine.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
