- 1 pound corned beef, sliced
- 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 8 slices rye bread, cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer half of the rye bread, followed by half of the corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Repeat layers.
- Mix Thousand Island dressing with caraway seeds and pour over layers.
- Drizzle melted butter on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

- Optional caraway seeds add extra flavor.
- Letting the dish rest helps it set for easier cutting.
