Instructions

  1. Mix salsa verde, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Marinate chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
  4. Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes on one side, then flip.
  5. After flipping, grill for another 6-7 minutes and add cheese just before fully cooked.
  6. Check for doneness (internal temperature should be 165°F) and let rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Slice and serve garnished with cilantro if desired.
