- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped (optional)
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (for vegan option)
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Wash and prepare all vegetables: shred cabbage, julienne carrots, and chop onions and cilantro.
- In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, and ginger to make the dressing.
- In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrots, green onions, and cilantro, tossing gently.
- Pour the dressing over the veggies and toss until well coated; let sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with sesame seeds and optional green onions or cilantro, and serve chilled.
- Enjoy the fresh slaw as a side dish!
