Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar, for topping
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 tsp cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.
  6. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  7. Layer half the batter in the pan, sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar, add remaining batter, and top with the rest of the sugar mixture. Swirl gently.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Slice and serve warm, optionally with butter.
