  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: dice onion, mince garlic, slice sausage, and wash broccoli.
  2. Sauté onion in olive oil for 3-4 minutes, then add garlic and sauté for 1-2 more minutes.
  3. Add chicken sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in orzo pasta, then add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Add broccoli, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
  6. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, optionally topped with Parmesan cheese.
