Ingredients

- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients: dice onion, mince garlic, slice sausage, and wash broccoli.
- Sauté onion in olive oil for 3-4 minutes, then add garlic and sauté for 1-2 more minutes.
- Add chicken sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Stir in orzo pasta, then add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add broccoli, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
- Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, optionally topped with Parmesan cheese.

- This dish is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for leftovers.
