Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces of penne pasta
- 2 cups of cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great!)
- 6 strips of bacon, chopped
- 1 cup of ranch dressing
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and reserve some pasta water.
- In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- Add shredded chicken to the skillet and warm, then stir in ranch dressing and heavy cream, simmering for 5 minutes.
- Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until melted; add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
- Fold in cooked pasta and bacon, mixing well to coat.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, then serve hot garnished with parsley.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use homemade ranch dressing.
- This dish can be made ahead and reheated, but the pasta may absorb some sauce.
