  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare ingredients.
  2. Cook gnocchi in boiling salted water until they float, then drain.
  3. In a skillet, sauté onion in olive oil until translucent, then add garlic.
  4. Add ground meat, season, and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and basil; simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Fold gnocchi into the sauce until well combined.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot.
