Ingredients

  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix cake ingredients and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool and cut into cubes.
  2. Whip cream until soft peaks form, add sugar and vanilla, and whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. Cut cooled cake into 1-inch cubes.
  4. Layer cake cubes, cherry filling, and whipped cream in a trifle bowl, repeating until all ingredients are used.
  5. Garnish with chocolate shavings and fresh cherries.
  6. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
