  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and boil salted water for the pasta.
  2. Cook the ziti pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart until fully cooked.
  4. Add minced garlic, oregano, and basil; cook until fragrant.
  5. Combine the cooked ziti and marinara sauce with the beef mixture.
  6. Layer half of the pasta mixture in a baking dish, followed by ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan; repeat the layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
